Hi everyone. I turned 25 in June and I still haven't received a letter inviting me to attend a smear test appointment and I find that strange because you're actually supposed to receive it when you're 24. I always thought it was an automatic thing but apparently not. Is this a common thing that happens now? I'm not exactly a high risk patient, but it's worrying that I've been skipped over and others who are at higher risk than me may have been too.

Should I get in touch with the GP? I was thinking about waiting on the letter for a bit longer but I have a feeling it's not coming. Thank you in advance.

There's no harm in ringing the surgery and asking if you're due an appointment / asking if you can make one.

You are right, you should have received a letter. Is it possible you have moved and the wrong address is recorded? Yes, contact your GP

I turned 25 in June too, I received my letter in December and another one a few weeks ago Smile I would contact your gp
