Is this a gastric bug? Or something else?

Hi all.

Since last wednesday night I keep getting the most awful stomach pains and back cramps. The stomach pain is quite high up and literally has me doubled over for hours. Ive had diarrhoea twice in this time, no vomiting just constantly retching up air.

I assumed it was a gastric bug but its been almost 7 days now and is so painful! Is this normal?

My DS3 also started with tummy ache on the same night, lasted about 4 days but now he's good. No diarrhoea or vomiting.

Norovirus when I had it was hell for 48 hours then feel back to normal immediately.

Another time that was food related I think are a dodgy frozen meal. I was I'll for ages. I took omeprazole and buscopan. And you can get buscopan IBS in the supermarket and I think omeprazole from OTC (my mum had some though). Pharmacist and. GP said the same and took three weeks to feel better.

Back ache is unusual though I didn't have. I call the GP and get urgent care appointment.

I had this for 4 days and day 5 I was ok again.

This sounds familiar, we've had some sort of gastric bug for 3 days each (DS1 & I). I'm so uncomfortable, DS was sick yesterday twice, I just keep getting episodes of burning sharp generalised abdominal pain & back pain, nausea, stomach pain... I've heard of other people in our area having something similar over the last couple of weeks, fingers crossed you're feeling better soon, I've been feeling very sorry for myself all day!
