i dont get on with tampons at all and a friend suggested asking gp for pill as will make me not have period while away?is that right or rubbish and would a gp actually do it?

Yep they can do this not sure what it is called but know quite a few people who have had it.

Yeah they will do that - think there are other things they can give you as well.

Have done that before when I was doing Duke of Edinburgh's Award (many years ago!)

They can prescribe Northisterone - start a few days before your holiday, stop when you get back.

Be warned though ... it can make you feel murderous!
