I used them in early pregnancy and I am sure they gave me pms, different situation to yours as I imagine my body was already overloding with the pregnancy hormones.

Thanks goingfor3,

this is my first course......very tearful!

and very spotty.

My gp says that it may be the answer, however..i have researched, ahem, actually googled it and most info states that they don't work for pms.

I'm pretty sure that the leaflet which came with the pessaries only mentiones it's uses for treating pms and nothing about supporting pregnancy. Good luck , I hope it works.

OK - not the same thing, but I was prescribed them for Post Natal Depression. Not come across anybody else that has had them for this, but they were a life saver for me. Made a huge difference, which I only recognised when I tried to come off them when DD was 4 months old. Eventually stayed on them until she was around 8 months old. I remember from the leaflets that they could be prescribed for PMS.

I also used them to support early pregnancy when I was having IUI, but don't recall them giving me PMS symptoms. However, fertility treatment is such a rollercoaster that it's hard to tell what I was feeling at the time!

HTH.

Hi,

I was recently prescribed Cyclogest 400mg as a progesterone supplement. I am 5wks pregnant and had a miscarrage 2years ago at 14weeks, my water just broke then without warning and the doctors could offer no explanation.
This is my first pregnancy after that one and I was put on cyclogest(2wce daily).
I'm praying for the best people.
