Hello, just a quick one so in may I had a viral infection which lingered for so long and my glan on my neck just under my chin finally went down after about a month, anyway now I've got a sore throat again my right tonsil is larger than the other and I think it always has been really but the glan has now swollen again, am I right by saying this could've been mistaken for a viral and actually been an infection and came back as I didn't get any antibiotics last time? I know we all arnt doctors but surely someone's had this before, thankyou

I had glandular fever 25+ years ago, then chronic fatigue triggered by it. even now if i get really run down there's a couple of nodes/glands on my neck that get raised and hard. not sure it's necessarily an infection.

It could be lots of things, it could be a new infection, viral or bacterial. Or the return of the previous one. It’s worth noting that they are saying the most common symptom of the current strain of covid is a sore throat, so might be worth doing a quick test if you have one available.

Thankyou for your replies, yes I've taken a covid test, taken 4 in the passed 2 days all negative, 2 people I've been near at work has just tested positive so I thought maybe it was that but nope
