If so, how long until it fell off?

Yes I did! It only took a few days I think.

Russell19 · 06/07/2022 22:05

I cut a skin tag off with sharp nail scissors 🙈

neverrested · 06/07/2022 22:06

Yes same, few days and gone, worked so well. Never came back. One in armpit that had bugged me for years plus one on nipple after second round of breastfeeding 🙈. Hurt a bit getting the thread tight but totally worth it.

MissBattleaxe · 06/07/2022 22:08

Tooth flioss will do it.

Rollerbird · 06/07/2022 22:09

Yes. A few days. Strong sewing thread

Bettyboop3 · 06/07/2022 22:10

I squeezed a large one between my breasts with my nails a LOT and it fell off a few days later! You just need to stop the blood getting in it.

WarmJuly · 06/07/2022 22:10

I sterilise nail clippers in the baby bottle steriliser. I took one off my lower eyelid recently and now I can use eyeliner under my eye again.

JetBlackSteed · 06/07/2022 22:10

Yes I have, but I got a local beauty place to tie the thread. (It's a service they offer not a random request 😂). All fell off after about 3 or 4 days and haven't reappeared. That was 20 odd years ago.

GreatOak · 06/07/2022 22:12

You can buy skin tag removal “elastic bands” off Amazon and they work really well!

user143677433 · 06/07/2022 22:14

You can get applicators that put a sort of band on them. Using thread … I have never managed to get it to stay on. I did accidentally twist one, which then hurt like hell and bruised but fell off / days later.

Pinkwellies81 · 06/07/2022 22:16

I had one recently I used tea tree oil on it & fiddled with it a lot & it dried up & fell off. Wasn’t a massive one though.

Twixie2022 · 06/07/2022 22:16

Bought a little device from Amazon with little tiny elastic bands for like £7. Worked a treat. Fell off after a couple days. Got rid of 3 on my neck after having DS

ShirleyPhallus · 06/07/2022 22:21

Another vote for the little elastic band kit from Amazon. Very satisfying when it falls off and you can inspect it!

KarlWrenbury · 06/07/2022 22:24

Thanks all. Armpit area

may I ask for a link to the Amazon kit please? H is driving himself - and me - potty about his skin tags

letsplanaholiday · 06/07/2022 22:34

Yes I had quite a big armpit one that was quite sore. I tied thread round it. The end went black and then it fell off. Took about a week in total.

caringcarer · 06/07/2022 22:54

You can get these tiny elastic bands and a little tool for putting them on. Cost about £13 off Amazon. It worked brilliantly on DH and loads left.

m00rfarm · 06/07/2022 22:55

How do you know if they are skin tags and not something more sinister. I have two by my arm pit and they are quite floppy (small, but floppy)

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 06/07/2022 23:14

I had one last year and it was horrible near my nipple of all places, I just kept twisting it daily and then it eventually fell off. So happy to be rid of it as hated it.

Snozzlemaid · 06/07/2022 23:25

Yes, many times.
Tie the cotton tightly around the base and cover with a plaster as they do sometimes feel a bit tender for first day or two.
It'll darken, then go black and drop off in a few days. No more than a week anyway.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 06/07/2022 23:35

I have lots of really tiny skin tags on my neck - but together they look awful, like someone has splattered mud on me. I guess the elastic band thing wouldn’t work on really tiny ones? Don’t know what to do about them - I must have about 30!
