Do I get implants?

I'm thinking about getting tooth implants by a reputable company in Budapest €8000 (well researched), at the moment I have false teeth which are ok - is it worth getting the 6 implants I need? Has anyone had them and are they worth getting and better than false ones?

Implants are individual fake teeth embedded in your gums so there is no plate to worry about. How many times will you have to go to Budapest? I am having an implant done and there a few months between each stage to let the gums heal. Eg after the implant was drilled into the gum. Now I have had impressions taken and will go back in four weeks to have the false tooth screwed on.
What happens if there is a problem with implants done abroad?

Yes I'm going twice once to get implants and then to get next fitting a few monthslater as well - they have an office in London so I can go there with any issues but it's still a distance to travel - I just wondering whether you can feel them in there as they're more invasive than dentures

Hygienist here. The patients I see with implant retained dentures are all very happy with the result . They are very much seen as an improvement on acrylic dentures.
Not judging your decision to go abroad but if you do experience problems, a UK dentist / implant specialist will generally not want to become to involved .

Ok thanks I suppose its the cost of them abroad is so much cheaper and they have a good reputation however I suppose infections etc can happen whatever their standard - it is something to consider

I did go for implants in the end in Budapest and couldn't be happier with results no problem yet

I have 3 molars on 2 implants. I’d say go for it! They are amazing.

My only reservation with having it done abroad is the prep. Only 2 visits? I went to my dentist far more than that over the 6 months it took.
