Choosing a breast surgeon

I am in the very initial stages of investigating reduction surgery but am at a bit of a loss how to go about researching and choosing a surgeon.

Any advice or ideas will be very much welcomed!

If you've had it done, what criteria did you use to choose your surgeon?

Many thanks!

I started by looking for someone who was BAPS accredited, went for a renowned surgeon who specialises in reconstructive plastic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery (cancer) and works at a top London NHS trust (St George’s university hospital) rather than an aesthetics only surgeon.

He does private work in addition to his day job.
I was really really happy with the results. Just wish that I’d done it sooner. I ended up recommending him to other friends who also used him.
Breast reduction is very different from implants and you need to have full trust in your surgeon. Good luck it’ll change your life 🥳
