Excessive bruising (pic)

Looking for opinions on this level of bruising.

This occurred due to falling against the bath whilst in the shower. Pic is of behind the knee and bruising spread progressively over the following week. I often get such severe bruises (though never this widespread) for fairly minor bangs etc

This could be ITP.

Get to the docs with you Flowers

Have you seen a doctor about it? I bruise ridiculously easily but never to that extent, how hard was the fall?

It's a funny one. I've always been a bleeder (had hysterectomy under 40 for heavy periods). However as I have given birth multiple times without incident and never get nose bleeds, had kind of ruled out any sort of bleeding disorder 🤔

Never seen a doctor for it. I kind of slipped when climbing over the bath and landed awkwardly on my leg. I often get a petechial rash from scratching an itch etc

Why would you put off going to the doctor? That's a awful looking bruise for a small stumble. A simple blood test would tell a lot & it's not a big deal. Just go & get it done, if it's nothing then alls well.

Thanks all. That's given me a push to speak to the GP. I have some bloods booked in.
