4-6 week wait for womb biopsy results - normal?

Had a hysteroscopy yesterday with the biopsy results due in 4-6 weeks.

Seems like a long time. Wondering if it’s a regional issue ? General NHS staff shortages or if this is normal length of time for a womb biopsy?

Think it's pretty standard. Mine took the same amount of time....in fact the actual letter took nearly 4 months but I'd spoken to the consultant at 4 weeks and he had the results.

FaIrly standard. Mine actually took 11 weeks but am in belfast where the NHS is truly finished.

Wow - that is truly truly shocking.

I hope it was clear for you. Did they tell you it would take this long - or were you left frustrated week by week and month by month not knowing when you would get your result?

I didn’t know you could do this - call an NHS consultant?
