Anyone else feeling ill?

For about 3 days I was struggling with a headache that wouldn't shift and a sore throat. Yesterday I woke up aching all over, felt warm, bit of a cough and spent the day in bed exhausted. Today I've woken up less achey but still groggy and feeling a bit sick.

I've taken a test which has come back negative. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had/has something similar?

I'm well aware colds/flu are also still very much a part of everyday life, that were ever so slightly forgotten during COVID. I can honestly say though I've never had a cold like this before 😫

When I and my daughter had covid 2 weeks ago we both felt pretty bad for about a day before testing positive. May be worth taking another test later in the day.

Presuming you’re an adult - then you’ve been very kicky!
rest up and fact already slight improvement is a good sign.
smjust sounds like a nasty virus to me,

Lucky!!

Don’t bother with a test. Unless you’re a carer or vulnerable. Why would you?

I'm 30 so I must have been very lucky! I've always struggled with colds (or so I thought) in that I just had blocked nose, felt groggy etc but never had this ache all over and been so exhausted! I had COVID last year and noticed a significant dip in my immune system since so perhaps that has played a part!

I'm a single parent so don't quite have the option of feet up and let it do it's thing, but I'll try my best!

I did the test as my nephew has chronic lung disease and my Grandad is quite poorly so I wouldn't want to risk being around them/looking after them. Albeit, I'll be avoiding them anyway whilst I feel like this so probably pointless. Old habits die hard I suppose...

Hi I've also had the same past few days. And haven't been able to rest at all either. Hope you feel better soon!

I've had a horrific headache, sickness and dizziness since Tuesday. Covid was a breeze compared to this.

lbbean · 01/07/2022 07:05

We’ve all had an awful virus in recent weeks. Several days of the symptoms you describe, and it ended for each of us with 3-4 days of pink bloodshot eyes, which I’ve never had as a result of a virus before. All negative for Covid. I think it was an adenovirus.

Ds2 has been feeling really grotty for a few days - sore throat, chesty cough and sore eyes. Tested a couple of times and negative, so just a virus I suppose

Why wouldn't you? If nothing else it's interesting to know what you've caught. And if you do get really unwell it saves time for the GP/hospital to know what's wrong with you.

You can't make Covid go away by not testing for it...

Yes I’ve got a weird virus at the moment, can’t stop sleeping, headache, achey, not feeling my usual self. Really spotty too which I never get! It’s been two weeks now 😞
