Tonsillectomy

I'm due to have a tonsillectomy on Wednesday. I've been really struggling with having tonsillitis very often so I was really looking forward to finally getting my tonsils removed.
DD goes to nursery and keeps bringing all the possible bugs home, we planned to keep her at home one week before my procedure to avoid her bringing another illness home but just on her last day nursery informed us that they have an outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth. She's been fine the last few days, but yesterday started having what I thought was nappy rash but it looks much different than usually. Today she has one blister like spot on her palm and one on her toe. It could be also from sucking her finger but we'll get GP appointment tomorrow just in case.
I feel fine but I'm worried my procedure won't be able to go ahead. I've tried ringing the hospital but have had no luck. Do you think it can go ahead if DD does have the Hand Foot and Mouth?

Yes it can still go ahead as long as you don't have it and think you'll feel well enough to look after her with HFM whilst recovering yourself. You'll soon know if it's HFM - in my experience the blisters appear before your eyes similar to chicken pox. It's a horrible virus
