I sprained my thumb 5 weeks ago. At the walk in centre they told me it would take 2-6 weeks to get better. But 5 weeks on the whole thumb is still swollen, there's a lump where it joins my hand, it's still painful and movement is restricted.
I've had an ultrasound scan on it, but have to wait weeks to get the result.
Has anyone experienced similar and it did eventually get better without any treatment?
