Genuinely feels like I'm dying

I know this sounds overly dramatic but this is how I feel right now.

I basically feel so ill, my body feels like I've got the flu but without any sore throat/cold/etc. I feel sick constantly and have no energy. Variable stomach ache and intermittent upset tummy. I don't think it can be a virus as it's been going on 3 weeks.

I had some blood tests last year and had low iron (not anemia) so took supplements for a few months. I ran out a while ago and I think it is connected but not sure. But how can low iron cause so many symptoms?

I feel like there must be some underlying cause... stomach ulcer? Some kind of cancer?

I have a doc appointment coming up but just wondered if anyone else had felt like this.

Having low levels of vitamins and minerals can absolutely make you feel like that. They are the building blocks that your body uses to make everything run. Definitely go and get blood tests.

Thank you but the other question is why would I have low levels? My diet is fine and the same as it has always been?

Well maybe the veggies you have been eating recently dont have as high levels of the vitamins and minerals as they used to, maybe you are using some things up faster than you used to (if your immune system has had to fight off an invading disease it can use up your stores of zinc for example) maybe your vit d levels are low as you havent been out in the sunshine as much and maybe your periods have been a little heavier and you have lost iron that way
