I am on amoxicillin for 36 hours now for acute bronchitis. I have a constant cough, a very tight chest and a lot of dizziness and fatigue. My heart rate was up around 100 bpm when I was with the gp while my normal would be 55bpm. He listened to my chest and said that it was totally clear and this ruled out pneumonia. I feel worse today. Temperature constantly at 101 and heart rate constantly at 110 or higher. I’m not sure whether I should return to gp or if I can be sufficiently reassured that my chest sounded clear which rules out pneumonia and leave the antibiotics to do their job. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks so much
