Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced anything similar before please as I'm freaking out. I posted about having a period that arrived 10 days early but it started as just brown spotting (sorry tmi) for 3 days. I then had 1.5 days of normal heavy flow and thought my period had arrived, then it went back to brown spotting again - in total it lasted 7 days which my periods normally do, but obviously this was much lighter.

I've also been bloated and constipated (sorry tmi again!), really tired and had bad headaches. Last night I touched my lower tummy and it felt hard and I noticed a big lump on the left hand side, thought it was because I've been struggling to go to the toilet but it also felt like a lymph node. Today it's really sore and I'm getting worried, no clue what's going on.

I've rang my GP and they said someone can give me a phonecall this afternoon. Has anyone experienced anything similar and can share with me? Sorry if this sounds daft just got myself worried and DP is away for a week so being alone isn't helping 😔 xx

I'm glad you can speak to someone today for your peace of mind. They might want you to go in so they can feel your abdomen.

Could be a lot of different things but hopefully nothing sinister.
Easy to say but try not to worry.

Thanks for your reply @Caminante , trying to stay busy until they call me. Hoping it's just coincidence that I had spotting and now have that swelling which could be for loads of reasons.

Thanks for posting back x

Good plan staying busy! Have a look at some of the threads on Classics, that's always a good one.

I know how easy it is to get into a state of panic over something health related, it's happened to me a few times but always luckily turned out to be nothing serious at all. I think it was worse when my kids were little.

I don't know how old you are but when I got to 35 my body started doing all kinds of strange things that had me really worried.

Is there any chance you could be pregnant? I had spotting, headaches and constipation the week I found out I was pregnant. Could the lump be to do with constipation?

Hi @Claireshh 😊 I did wonder this too from the threads i was reading here! I did a test the day the spotting started (no idea why as it would have been way too early lol) and then did another test a week later when it ended, which was 4 days ago now. My "actual" AF would have been due yesterday and I have one test left so I was thinking of doing it at the end of the week 🤔

What do you think? Did you test positive early on or did it take a little while for the hcg to build up?

Yep I'm also wondering if that's what the lump could be but it doesn't seem to be changing much even when I do manage to go😔 x
