Sunscreen question..can adults use 'kids' branded suncreen?

I wasn't sure whether the 'kids' part meant it was just kinder for the skin but you still had the same sun protection and adults could use? Grateful if anyone can shed light on this as I've just bought quite a few bottles marketed for adults but it sprays a cloud of mist and most of ends up in the lungs if not careful, it's not the best design! I'd like a roll on ideally but this is in the kids range.

Of course they can. It's just sunscreen.

Isn't it? You've made me question it now ConfusedGrin

youlightupmyday · 20/06/2022 19:14

I use the kids stuff all the time

eurochick · 20/06/2022 19:14

Of course you can use the kids range!

cottagegardenflower · 20/06/2022 19:20

I do sometimes but some are very white and noticeable

Blowyourowntrumpet · 20/06/2022 19:22

Yes, of course adults can use it

FionnulaTheCooler · 20/06/2022 19:25

I use the Child's Farm unscented one because I have sensitive skin and lots of standard ones bring me out in a rash. Haven't burned with it on so far but I am careful about how long I stay in the sun where possible.

KhaleesiOfChaos · 20/06/2022 19:29

The SPF rating is the same regardless of whether it's marketed for adults or children so if it's a kids factor 30 then it'll still be factor 30 on you.

Jules912 · 20/06/2022 19:34

I frequently do though I find they're more prone to staining clothing. I usually buy factor 30 for adults and50 for kids but quite often forget to pack mine when we go out for the day.

Hardbackwriter · 20/06/2022 19:35

Absolutely - the only reason people don't much is that the kids is usually more expensive than the adults for the same brand.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 20/06/2022 19:36

They smell nicer 🙂

Notanotherwindow · 20/06/2022 19:38

I have a prittstick style one that is really good and smells lovely. Misses point entirely

I use Nivea kids on myself just to save having to buy separate products. It’s one of the few my son isn’t allergic to.

purplecorkheart · 20/06/2022 19:41

I use kids stuff all the time. I find it hard to get factor 50 for adults locally so I buy kids ones.

shadypines · 20/06/2022 21:22

Great, can carry on with the roll on kids range then, thank you!

The orange Ambre Solaire kids spf50 spray is the absolute pits so whatever you do don’t use that. Stains like hell and the ‘spray’ is pathetic. Avoid!

shadypines · 20/06/2022 23:08

Thanks Dust, will do!
