Thank you so much.He is back at his home now after another week of ups & downs & difficulities.

My mum is still very angry at the way he was treated & is considering making a formal complaint. She isn't after compensation, but wants an explanation about why he was discharged on a stretcher, with a broken shoulder, why he was refused access to a Dr when he got a wound infection, all the catologue of errors really.

She is umming & ahhing over it & I told her she definately should.Uncle was lucky in that he had her to fight for him,but what about someone not so fortunate? I also told her abot the Mumsnetters who posted & had DC with learning difficulties ect & were concerned aboout the same thing happening to their DC.She should do it for them too.

My mum was very canny & kept a diary of everything that happened, dates, wards, names ect.I have told her that if she doesn't make a complaint,I will.It is the only way to change things.

So glad he is now home and on the road to recovery.

I really would encourage your Mum to make a formal complaint, its the only way to effect change imo.
