Could this be a Urinary tract infection?

Hi,

T2 diabetic and under active thyroid here (had appendix out years ago but I'm moving around like I remember when I had appendicitis).

After an odd Friday with it being hot and drinking 2 litres of fluid before it took 9 hours to want to go to the toilet, I've spent the weekend with sharp stabbing pain in lower middle abdomen going to the nether regions (first I thought it was my dodgy period's ovulation) but as the time has gone on, after last nights broken sleep, it's uncomfortable to sit, urinate (which is a dark colour but not burning) wanting to wee more frequently today and I've heard gurgling sounds, but haven't felt nausea.

I see diabetics, pregnant and peri menopausal can be more prone to uti's, but could it be my fault where I didn't go to urinate for such a long time Friday, where bacteria has somehow built up?
