I’ve googled myself into a bit of despair. I have had a very small mole on my cheek for as long as I can remember - definitely was there as a child. I’ve never really paid much attention to it as it’s really small.
A relative was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and it’s made me sort of evaluate everything and I’ve noticed that maybe this mole is a little lighter than it has been previously, which in turn is making the overall shape hard to distinguish.
It’s hard to tell from past pictures as make up obviously distorts it and the camera quality isn’t the best. I’ve started using retinol eye cream which may occasionally get to the mole as it’s near my eye area, and I wear spf every day. I’ve also not been abroad for 4 years now. I’m wondering if any of these could be explanations.
I sent a photo into a GP and he didn’t seem concerned but I’m wondering if they could really tell anything for sure from an iPhone picture.
