anyone elses dc's had this diarrhea?

hi. I've heard all these rumours lately about this 'bug' going around. apparently, you can get either sickness, or diarrhea, or both. My DD has had diarrhea for about 11 days now. her bowel movements are usually every other day. Lately, its been 3 or 4 a day, and its runny, and alot of its undigested. you can still identify the food! This has taken its toll on poor dd's bum, which is sore and red, and now the skin has broken. i have been putting it down to this 'bug', but do you think its time for the docs? has anyone else experienced this?

yes. She is not unwell in any other way. her appetite is great, she is full of energy, its just the runny, very frequent nappies. i've just had a read around on the net. its called Rotavirus. it says the diarrhea stage can last around 9 days... luckily she hasn't had the sickness part of it. has anyone else had the illness this long?
