Hi

So to put it simply, I'm freaking out a little I'm a worrier anyway I had a blood test done last Thursday. I have been bottle feeding my baby since birth and have still not had a period 8 months later, so they're checking things are okay....

This is 1st time after a blood test that I've had a text saying I need to make a routine phone consultation with the doctor to discuss them. Surely if it was all okay I wouldn't need to? Just a bit worried now 😕

Has anyone else has this?

Thanks x

It is clearly not urgent. Perhaps just to talk through the results and make suggestions.

This is in the back of my mind to see sense but I tend to overthink things :(

Thank you

I think if it was an urgent matter and time sensitive they would contact you, not leave it up to you to make an appointment.

It'll be something and nothing like your vitamin d or iron is a bit low
I've had way abnormal bloods through and so has my dad - I got a call at night asking me to go to hospital, dad got sent an ambulance

Yeah, my practice does this, even if it’s just to say everything is fine. It’s very annoying.

Twdfn123 · 14/06/2022 15:57

Wow that sounds scary, thank you though

I had this and it was just some vitamin deficiencies

Even if the tests show nothing, you still have symptoms that will still need to be resolved. Don't over think it.
