I had an arthroscopy on Monday . I was scared too .Tried to persuade the consultant not to do it on the morning of the op 😳 Bucket handle tear in meniscus and Plica damage .
Honestly it was fine . I have had no pain whatsoever because I've stuck to the painkillers (and even then nothing other than paracetamol and nurofen). I'm now at day 5, sitting here with ice pack on it (quite nice in this heat) Please don't worry . You'll be absolutely fine. I even feel better about a possible hip replacement that is coming down the track for me. Best of luck!

I had one 13 years ago to remove scar tissue from a previous op and was back to normal within 4 weeks.

Consultant wanted me to be fully weight bearing from the get go ! Tentative steps admittedly but yes, I am walking fine. Personally it was the anaesthetic that bothers me the most, makes me so weepy for days !
