Thyroid or peri or what

I ache all the time. My joints (all of them), my muscles, my lower back and arse cheeks.

My tongue and mouth are sore. I am bloaty and farty. I am tired. I am snotty and my ear keeps getting blocked.

If I do even mild exercise (think long walk) I hurt all over. Oh and I've piled on the weight.

Sexy as this all sounds, this isn't the first time I've felt like this. I was similar a few years ago, dr ran some blood tests and I did have some thyroid antibodies and low ish iron but as my tsh was in range, no treatment. It did sort of go away although I do supplement with vit d, iron and magnesium.

I will try for a gp appointment obvs but dr google also suggests peri symptoms. Anyone had similar and which way did it go. I may possibly order a thriva blood test pack to see if that helps rule in/out thyroid

Good idea to do the Thriva test as often GP will only do TSH which isn’t enough to give a full picture. Times of hormonal upheaval are common for thyroid issues to get worse so it could be both tbh. Can you do a sex hormone test with Thriva too?

I felt like this when I had a vit d deficiency

Thanks both.

I'm 47 so hormones clearly on the way out although I've yet to experience any change in periods/hot flushes/those kind of symptoms.

I think I'll do a thriva test and used that to arm my gp visit
