Hi we’re travelling to South Africa in July so need the typhoid and Hep A vaccine
There is a shortage of Typhoid vaccinations so travel clinics are doing 2 in one typhoid and Hep A rather than seperately .

I know that they wouldn’t administer it if it wasn’t safe but I’m worried that I should be having them separately ? Any reassurance please

If you have concerns you should have the opportunity to discuss them with the nurse administering the vaccine. You could ring and see if you can book a chat before your appointment?

patient information leaflet here but they wouldn’t give it if it wasn’t safe. Lots of vaccines are combined (child vaccinations for example). Sanofi who make the vaccine, if it’s ViATIM you are having, are one of the makers of the the annual flu vaccine -amongst others- and the vaccine will be rigorously tested for efficacy.
