Does this look infected?

It's been really painful and have just noticed a yellow tinge, thinking it may be infected?

What is it? A burn?
Any wound will be inflamed: that's how it gets repaired. However, if it's getting very hot, has an area of redness that's spreading away from the site of injury, or is oozing pus, it needs to be dealt with urgently. A yellowish tinge is likely to be bilirubin from red blood cells leaking from damaged vessels.

I think it looks like a healthy wound that's healing well. The pinkies around it is to be expected, if it spreads and becomes red and hot then its become infected.

Keep it clean and dry and properly dressed. Looks painful!
