Just that really
I think I'm just looking for some reassurance
I did have a short episode of post partum hyperthyroidism 15 years ago but nothing since
I also have regular MRIs due to a long term neck issue which is disc related so this wasn't there 2 years ago
The incidental finding described a large goitre and multiple fluid filled cysts
The hospital read the report to me over the phone said they will write to my GP amd ask him to arrange an ultrasound scan of my thyroid
Symptoms wise I suppose I have got some .
I have choked for no reason a few times this year amd often feel like I have a small pill that hasn't been swallowed properly in my throat .
I am permanently exhausted and not one for visiting the doctor but the tiredness was so profound I did amd he ran some tests which revealed a low vit D which I put down to the tiredness and got treated .
I am so so hot all the time it's become a family joke
Amd nervous / stressed way out character for me . Can't concentrate and very jumpy .
I can't sit still amd didn't realise how hyper I was until my MIL came to visit this weekend . She mentioned that I was wearing everyone out and was on the go all the time amd she was right . It's like I can't even watch a film because I'm up to do something else that doesn't really need doing minutes later.
Feel like my heart is pounding but I'm on beta blockers for blood pressure amd have been for years so that shouldn't happen amd I've had two admissions to hospital with an elevated and abnormal heart rhythm .
Just wondered if this will go away by itself potentially ? I'm 51 so it's not pregnancy related this time .
There's a slight niggle too that this could be cancerous so I do hope the GP receives the letter quick amd I have that scan .
I probably know more than most as Im a health professional but it's still scary when something goes wrong amd I think I'm just looking for any reassurance from other mums who have had a similar experience ?
TIA
