Postpartum vertigo

Hello

I have 3 children, the youngest being 12 weeks. He’s an angel, from night 2 he has pretty much been sleeping through the night.

Ive had two iron infusions, one during hospital after the birth and another about 4 weeks later. I usually take iron tablets too but they needed to top me up a bit more.

A few days coming out of hospital with the youngest I start to feel faint and dizzy. I assumed my iron was low but my health visitor and midwife explained that the infusions are meant to last quite some time. I’ve had this problem recurring everyday for the last 3 months, sometimes it’s quick (30 seconds) other times it lasts a few minutes and exhausts me afterwards.

I had some blood tests booked but had to cancel them as my partners shifts changed and I didn’t want to take 3 kids with me.

Is this what Postpartum vertigo feels like? I’ve just read up on it. And I’m hoping that’s the cause of all of this. Prebirth I did get faint and dizzy but it was also brought back to my lack of iron because I’m vegetarian. My diet is fine and I mainly drink water throughout the day with one coffee in the morning.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

Could it be BPPV? Mine is aggravated by hormones. I've not had kids, but I get vertigo around my period and had it really bad when I was having IVF, hence the hormonal conclusion. I did some home exercises to improve it. The GP wasn't much help.
