What is causing this back pain and how to manage

A few weeks ago my back started spasming. I went to my mums chiropractor but they didn't seem to help much. Gradually it started to improve until today when I sneezed in the shower and omg the pain is unbearable. I can barely move. I have taken ibuprofen and its not helped at all. What could be causing all this pain (I haven't done anything specific to cause the pain in the first place) and what can I do to help it?

It depends on where the pain is. I was recently in agony and did a stretch I’d seen about the SI joint that traps nerves, I never would have put it down to a nerve pain but the relief on stretching it for 10 minutes was AMAZING!

if the chiropractor couldn’t help and it’s muscular, you might be better self referring to a physio for assessment/treatment.

Thanks for replying, the pain is my lower back and my hip bones at the front like I am wearing a 20 stone backpack. I have spoken to a nurse on the phone and she thinks I need antispasmodics so a doctor is ringing me in a bit. I will also ask for a referral to physio.
