Calling dentists!

Ds2 has not long ago fallen flat on his face. When he stopped screaming I discovered that one of his front teeth has been pushed up into his gum and is noticeably higherin comparison to how it was. Gum looks v red but no blood. He says it feels sore, and I have given him nurofen. Doesn't feel loose. Emergency appointment at the dentist tomorrow, or will it be ok? We are off to thailand on sunday.

Thanks in advance.

Hello loves sorry I'm late ("hic!")
Lou,never diagnose without seeing the patient...but bottom line is he will be fine!

Tooth might be a bit sore to bite on. Might even go black if it got a really bad thump but will in all probability turn white again.

See this all the time at work .

How old is he?
Highly unlikely any damage to adult tooth underneath.

Thailand? Lucky devil.
Don't forget your old pals at mumsnet while you are away!

Not long back from the dentist, they called us and fitted us in. She has prescribed anti biotics for him, and said to give him soft food for a week. Looks like he pushed one tooth into the gum, and the neighbouring one is wobbly, so he must have knocked that too. He was a very good boy and got a big sticker for his trial . We have to go back and see them for xrays in the new year, when we get back.

thanks all.
