Constipation :(

Hello everyone, I have a 3 week old daughter and am breastfeeding her. Sorry if being tmi but since yesterday I am very badly constipated. Nothing I have done is helping. I am using lactulose since yesterday but that is not helping either. I am in really bad pain. I need something to help urgently!😞😞😞

Dulcolax for pretty quick relief. It doesn’t pass into breast milk

Fybogel can be taken daily (even safe when pregnant/breastfeeding) to encourage regularity.

lactulose is pretty useless imo.

You poor thing. Make sure you are drinking loads as breastfeeding can make you dehydrated.

As you are postnatal, ask your doctor/midwife/health visitor for advice.

Movicol or milk of magnesia or both if it's quite bad.

Laxido (or Movicol ... Same thing, different brand name) sorts it out perfectly and doesn't cause stomach cramps or that rush to the toilet feeling!!
