Bleeding after sex

Before I start, just to make it clear I will be going to the GP once I manage to get an appointment.

A couple of days ago, I started bleeding after sex- bright red and quite a lot on the tissue whilst wiping numerous times (sorry if tmi). It wasn't painful but I felt a bit of discomfort for about a day afterwards.

Today I've gone to the toilet for a bowel movement and again there was blood from the front when I wiped, bright red but not as much as after sex.

I'm not due my period for about ten days, I was around ovulation when we had sex so potentially hormonal issues? Has anyone had similar or have an idea of what it could be? My last smear was less than a year ago and all clear.

Could the skin have been torn?

Vaginal polyps?

Could the skin have been torn?

I thought that at first but I would have expected it to be a bit sore, if anything it just felt a bit heavy and uncomfortable the next day

Could be a cervical ectropion. Harmless thing but can cause bleeding.

I had this recently and after tests it was found to be a uterine polyp. Now waiting for gynae referral as it needs to come out.

With me it was cervical erosion. They froze the cells and all good (done 30 years ago). They did a small biopsy at the same time just to check all was ok. Think they said cervical erosion is very common for pill users.

Got to see my cervix on telly.
