Amitriptyline constipation won't go

I was on amitriptyline (10mg) for 8 months which made me constipated. I was going most days, a few times but small, pebble like hard stools. When I came off the drug in early March this year, my GP told me that it could take some time for the constipation to go....3 months later no change. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Starting to get a bit worried that something else is going on😟 I had a colonoscopy in early 2020 which was clear.

How is your diet overall, I occasionally get constipation and take magnesium each day now, also wholemeal bread and rice and make sure I have lots of water each day and eat some fruit. Dark chocolate and coffee helps also.

My diet is pretty good, lots of water, porridge every day, mostly vegetarian, lot of berries. Occasionally take away and of packet of crisp and a cake here and there...on the whole, fairly good.
