Silent reflux- ppi

I had a feeling like a lump in my throat, went to the doctor who said silent reflux and gave me pantoprazole. It helped. Then I got a burning tongue feeling on and off for a few months. I decided to stop taking the ppi after 3 months. For 10 days I felt great, but now I've got burning in my throat and burping acid. Is this acid rebound? Should I just stick with it and it will go? Just so sick of this now!

Hi, yep it sure sounds like it sorry to say…
I have it, it started with the ‘lump’ in throat feeling, but no other apparent symptoms, i had a camera down the nose to have a looksie and it was very sore.
Now take 15mg Lansoprazole in morn before food. I don’t know if this happens to you but i might add that for YEARS i was plagued with sinus/ throat infections and coughing like an old badger in the morning, this has all stopped since treating the reflux, I think it’s something to do with mucus mebranes getting inflammed which triggers more mucus production to help protect them.

Chilli sauce is no longer your friend i’m sorry to say.
Hope that helps.
