Hi All
I suffer from indigestion and heartburn only since I had covid in January 2022. My doctor prescribed lansoprazole 15mg I stopped taking it when I felt better but yesterday I have starting having the same covid symptoms as in January,Only indigestion heartburn feeling sick and a hive rash not the normal symptoms of covid.
I take other medications so I checked out if there were any interactions yes 4 quite serious.
Do I take lansoprazole I've tried Renee and Gaviscon no relief.
Doctors closed
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Thank you for reading

What else are you taking? Are you eating or drinking things like grapefruit, pineapple or orange (juice)?

So, to be clear, you had a course of lansoprazole which ended, but your indigestion type pain is back?

Personally - and I'm not a doctor - I'd take them today and phone the GP tomorrow / fill in an e consult form today for them. It may be that the course or lansoprazole ended too soon, or it could be that you've eaten something too harsh for your stomach. Any spicy food? Citrus etc?

There are no interactions between Lansoprazole, and citalopram, bendroflumethiazide, and Losartan. You are fine to take Lansoprazole with those medications. However, I would see your GP to make sure it’s still the most appropriate treatment for you.

Sometimes, It will happened again because of your food diet like junk food items. So better to change your food diet for few days. Because sometime, I also face heartburn and stomach upset due to eating fast food items.

@jeffersonsam

Heartburn has many causes not just junk food. If only. 21 years I've had it and they are still refusing to operate, once I've gone through the qualifying period (1 year) I'm getting it done on Dp's company medical insurance!

Hi
I rarely eat fast food I mostly eat fish veg rice etc
My doctor thinks I had an allergic reaction to changing the dose from 50mg to 100mg losartan for blood pressure. I have to wait until they are out of my system 😩
Sickness gone but pains in stomach still bad everyday I live in hope that I will feel normal again.
Best wishes for you up coming surgery hope it gets sorted
Thank you
