Hi. Since Weds I've had that slight burning full sensation in my fanjo like when you're desperate for the loo. It's there pretty much constantly. Am peeing more often.. but not particularly painful when I pee, no cloudy or offensive pee either which suggests no infection? (also feel fine in myself and not unwell)
I'm a bit unsure of what it is. I've upped my water intake since last night and have got some cranberry juice. It's weird as it feels internally like a cross between cystitis and soreness in the area where I know my episiotomy scar is...I guess any inflammation down there could cause that sensation. I am menopausal....could it be anything to do with vag atrophy/dryness? Yest infection or BV? -no bleeding or discharge or odour either.
Bit narked as have a theatre and meal out tomorrow and am not looking forward to multiple trips to various public loos which I hate!! Any advice greatfully received. Thanks

Go to your pharmacy and buy the powders you can take. Make sure you drink all of them. I was always back to normal after 2 but not taking them all will put you back to square one in a couple of days!

I never had the burning sensation but used to suffer at least 3 times a year! I now drink cranberry juice daily so haven't suffered for years.

Enjoy your evening tomorrow.

When I had a similar situation, it turned out to be menopausal dryness. I was late 40's.
Like you, I was sure it was cystitis and I hammered the powder drinks for a few days with no success.
I felt absolutely awful too, like it also sapped every ounce of my energy.

I initially tried HRT vaginal supposotory cream on prescription and it cured the problem almost immediately.
For other reasons, I eventually graduated to HRT tablet form and am still symptom free.

Whatever your own case may be, good luck OP 🍀

Be careful. I had cystitis last year which started similarly. Wasnt too sure and treated by drinking loads of water, moving on to powders etc.

By the time it was clearly not going away (and was getting much worse) it took 2 courses of antibiotics to shift.

I felt the symptoms again about a month ago (also perimenopausal so lots of annoying niggles) and this time treated with trimethoprim within 36hrs which cleared it.

Now granted I left it WAY too long before treating the first time - I put up with mildish symptoms for nearly 2 weeks, but menopause also increases your risk of utis so do see someone if things continue to not feel right.

I have suffered loads from cystitis but for me personally if I’m just getting the burning in my urethra and NOT pain upon urinating, it’s thrush.

drink loads of water and try a canestan pessary. If that doesn’t help or it gets worse, visit GP

Thanks all for your advice. Its feeling a little better. I didn't take sachets yesterday but am back on them today. So hoping it'll disappear in the next few days 🙏
