Would you see someone about these bites?

The one on the inside of my knee in particular is very itchy and quite hot. The one on my thigh not hot but slightly itchy. The two on my arm are just for comparison.

I was bitten on Saturday night (in Venice, if that makes any difference?!?! Ha).

Do you think worth getting checked out? I assume it was a mosquito as doesn't look like a spider bite!

I guess first action is to draw biro before bed and see if it's spread in the morning?

Yeah draw round it, but mine always look like that. I suppose you wouldn't want it getting any bigger though.

Do yours normally look like that? If its unusual for you then I might do. However mine normally come up far worse than that, I generally treat it by taking piriton and applying ointment to the area.

I’d probably just put some antihistamine cream on it tbh

Hmmm. They're never usually quite that spread - more like the ones on my arm rather than taking over most of the inside of my knee.

I've got some Piriton and some dabbling so will whack that on later and have Piriton before bed and hope it dies down tomorrow.

They're driving me nuts!!

I used to get a bad reaction just like that to mosquito bites. Different mozzies have different proteins in their saliva and sometimes you can be unlucky enough to get one that causes you to react like that. It varies from year to year and between areas.
Antihistamine cream slapped on asap helps me a lot.
I wouldn’t worry about them too much unless they get a lot worse, spread, get hot or you feel actually ill - that could mean they’re infected.

Chemist, oral anti-histamine

Hi from a fellow person that has been bitten. I got bitten in my garden on Saturday on my calf. One whole side of my leg is swollen, hot , res and hard. I have been taking antihistamine and hydrocortisone foe the swelling. I sent pics to my GP they are happy to issue antibiotics but don’t think its infected. Could just be an allergic reaction to the bite. I’m no expert but I don’t think they look too bad. Do you feel ok otherwise? Try a cold compress, like a flannel that might help with the redness. Keep an eye , take antihistamine. Hope U feel better.
