Hi! Just after some advice as my sons symptoms don't seem out of hours doctor urgent as its the weekend!
He woke up last night screaming, now usually he naps everyday except the two days of the week he goes to nursery (9 hours) now he doesn't stop there and burns himself out so we always deal with some exhaustion and find teething, colds etc are worse on these nights!
When he came into us he was really warm so we gave calpol, I took temp just after and he was 39.1C no signs of dehydration or anything he was more or less as normal just hot and irritable. Took a long time to get him back off to sleep.
Today he was warm again but not as much as last night, he has been drooling which is why I'm pin pointing teeth being the issue, he ate as normal for breakfast, has had plenty to drink, happy enough having a walk with the dog and ate little for dinner but it wasn't that long after breakfast really but I like him to have had lunch pre-nap.
As he had been drooling and irritable I gave him calpol again when upstairs getting ready for a nap, took temp about an hour after as he felt hotter and was 37.8 so under fever temp and an hour or so after down to 37 exactly.
Hes having looser more gooey poo's, I wouldn't say diarrhoea, but not solid and not excessive really, he had two today so far but didn't have a BM yesterday so this is normal for him. I know they say teething doesn't affect or cause diarrhoea but he has always been more loose during teething bouts. Just wondered if anyone has had this too? He's never really had a temp as high as last night but that did go and seemingly stay down.
He did have what seemed to be a 24 hour bug last Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and a few more diarrhoea like BM's on the weekend following that but other than that he's been 100% maybe even 110% there was that much improvement.
Just not sure if teething, or lingering viral thing or something that needs more attention 🤷♀️
