I’m prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow. i’ve done everything by the book, i had my first dose at 6pm (500ml) followed by 500ml water, then another 500ml dose at 9pm followed by 500ml water. it’s been 4 and a half hours since my first dose and i’ve probably been to the toilet 6 or 7 times, not for long at all each time and i don’t feel the urgency to go either.

it seems to be calming down already and i’m so exhausted and tired from the lack of calories.

I feel like i could sleep but i’m still not running completely clear, i’m more so cloudy.

is this normal?? should i not be going more than this???

How did it go op?
I had a colonoscopy in 2019 and a pill camera endoscopy last month so needed prep for that too.
I never did run clear after my colonoscopy prep it was like cloudy water but they said all was ok and they were able to get a clear view via the colonoscopy.
Hope all goes well for you. For me the prep was far worse than the procedure.

It was completely fine! i built myself up with so much anxiety before the procedure. the prep for me weren’t even that bad at all, which i’m super surprised about! i had no more than 10 bowel movements here and there, wasn’t uncontrollable, was watching tv between and doing housework lol , no vomiting, the drinks didn’t taste that bad, bit of lemonade helped the after taste ! was worried they wouldn’t be able to see during the procedure because i didn’t go much. but strangely enough they said that i was perfectly clear!

i did start my liquid diet 72 hours prior to the procedure , with a couple of low fibre meals and had two normal bowel movements before the prep which i think helped an awful lot!!
