Hi everyone,
My mums been having an pain in her left side under her ribs for about a month now.
She went to her gp who said he thinks it’s her spleen and could be muscle damage but he would send her for an ultrasound scan. He also asked her to lie down and raise her legs and when she did so, it hurt where she’s been feeling the pain. She’s also had a blood test and everything came back normal on that.
So, she went for the ultrasound scan yesterday and about 4 hours later, the receptionist at the doctors rang and said the doctor who referred her for the scan wants a phone consultation tomorrow to discuss the results.
This has left me worried - why so quick? But also, part of me thinks if it was really bad, wouldn’t he have called her in instead of wanting to speak to her on the phone?
Obviously no one can say for sure what it is on a forum but has anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing this? She has been on Arimidex for 5+ years due to stage 1 breast cancer & also has rheumatoid arthritis in her hands/knees etc.
