I had my gallbladder out on Monday afternoon and really struggled to stay awake afterwards. Now I'm the opposite. I'm trying to lay off the strong cocodamol for a while, it does help the pain but I'm having side affects, flushed face and itching. It was also making me drowsy. It's 4am and I still can't sleep. I haven't eaten much since the op, bits of toast and a tiny bit of chicken. I worry about having an upset stomach at this stage of healing. Peeing is still a bit difficult and I don't know what #2 will be like especially after all the pain killers. I'm still sore and my belly button incision has only just stopped oozing. It's my first op and general anaesthetic so I don't know what's right. I wasn't given any information when I left hospital, o think they just wanted me to go.
