My dad has been ill for 3 weeks now.
It started off with throaty flu virus and then he caught the novovirus and then fluey again and this week he is wheezing and coughing up phlem sometimes cream sometimes green, sorry tmi.
He feels very unwell but says it is ajust a virus and wont go to GP.

anything green coming up usually means an infection and that does not antibiotics.

I think the darker the phlegm the more serious it is generally. Is he or was he a smoker? How is the job btw??

Beauregard · 11/01/2008 12:37

oh pelvic, am sorry to hear that . At least you have a ready made application for another job! Can you call GP out to your dad?

Beauregard · 11/01/2008 14:28

Thanks pinkteddy.
I still have no date of redundancy yet all i know is anytime in next few months so looking around now.

Have told my dad in no uncertain terms that he must go to his GP (he is well enough to drive)
He said he will go on monday if no better by then.
I told him that mumsnet said he must go
