I'm down with it now but I feel hungry and my stomach is asking for food - I daren't eat or drink anything for fear of it ...well, you know what.
What are the best foods to try starting eating again? Any tips?

clear broths/soups..plain toast....a tiny bit of scrambled egg (if you stomach that)

I was advised by a nurse after a d&v bug to avoid all dairy, eggs and poultry for a couple of days, as they were the most likely to be "rejected" IYSWIM. Dry biscuits, toast, very dilute juice or squash. Some people reckon flat lemonade is good.

Thanks for the tips. Here in germany the classic thing is coke and those pretzel sticks with salt on but I can't imagine either being good for me. Toast sounds like the safest thing to try maybe.

I have heard of the 'BRAT' diet for after d+v: banana, rice, apple and toast. Think it's from America - these must be easy to digest foods.

BRAT diet - banana, rice, apple or toatst - same as any other time you have a D & V bug.
