Pelvic inflammatory disease symptoms?

Hi all. Just to preface this; I have spoken to a doctor who has asked for a swab and a urine test and has prescribed antibiotics but in the meantime I wondered if anyone could relate.

So: period pains all month round; discharge that’s been happening for a few months just after period which is really smelly (sorry) but then tails off until my period comes again. I know I should have gone to a doc before but, you know. Now I’m feeling really nauseous, like I’m about to throw up but haven’t actually been sick.

Does any of this sound familiar? I’ve obviously done a quick Google but PID is all I came up with.

TIA 💐

Hello, I had this years ago. Was like period pains but much worse and as pretty much constant. I remember being bent over in pain and struggling to walk.

Thank you whiterabbit. The pain isn’t that intense so maybe it isn’t that. I wish I could just go and see a doc face to face and discuss this properly. 🙄

I think you'll probably need a scan, it could be any number of things eg an infected Fallopian tube. A private scan with a gynaecologist would get you answers, if you can afford it.

Thank you. I haven’t heard from the docs so I assume the tests were clear- will ring tomorrow if I get the chance but they normally send a text if there’s anything to worry about.

I am still in pain though, on and off, and feeling so sick and bloated.
