Freiberg disease - anyone have surgery??

Just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with this and if they have had surgery, I’ve had 2 rounds of steroids injected on both feet, but it’s starting to wear off now..

I knew someone (a friend of DS) who had it as a teenager and had surgery after her GCSEs were over. I think it must have worked well because she went on to have a very sporty lifestyle in the next few years.
