Lips tremble/quiver when smiling

Hello
I've had this issue for a while now but when I smile for the camera, if it's more than a 5 seconds, my lips and around my mouth start to quiver. It's as if the muscles are quivering due to the strain of smiling. If I look in the mirror and do this, I can see the quivering. I have no other symptoms and no other muscles quiver. I read a few forums online where people have experienced this but should I be worried? I am naturally a worrier when it comes to health and this is preoccupying me. Has anyone else experienced this or know what it could be?

I have this, OP. From a medical perspective, I would not worry at all as it's not part of any wider weakness or spasm.

I think for me it's a strange, subconscious 'anxiety' or discomfort that comes with forcing a smile. I don't actually feel anxious or anything though, IYSWIM. Either that, or my face is so unfamiliar with a smile that it doesn't know what's going on! 😉

I have no why but I also do this. I read it could be the onset of Parkinson's disease.

Thank you @AbsoluteShambles , its good to hear it's not just me.

@curlytoday , where did you read that? I hope that's not true, I wasn't even thinking of Parkinsons but now I'm stressed.
