TMI - bowel movements

This happens about every 5-6 weeks
I've asked my GP but they just sent me laxatives. It all starts with feeling bloated and abdominal discomfort. I still go to the toilet but never feel "empty". Eventually (around 2-3 weeks later) I stop passing anything whatsoever until one day I have a massive movement, it's not solid, it's not liquid but it's very soft. Then I go regularly to the toilet for 2-3 weeks for it to start again.

I would go to the GP and ask for proper investigation. Really surprised they haven’t already if it’s a pattern that has been going on for awhile.

I've told them so many times and just told me it's normal. I've had a colonoscopy for my anemia and nothing wrong was found
