I done an exercise class last week which involved lifting heavy weights. The following day I was in agony with my lower back, seemed to ease day after but then 3 days after I am in agony with my back when I move in a funny way it bend down. I saw GP last week who done a urine sample and said it showed some ?infection, wasn’t sure about UTI has sent to lab and started antibiotics but they are not helping

I suffer with health anxiety so I am thinking all sorts. Does this sound like a pulled muscle?

It could well be a pulled muscle. You need to engage your core and lift pelvic floor when lifting weights or your lower back will take over and cause injury. If your core is weak I highly recommend Pilates.

I'd say go to an osteopath or physio you've hurt a muscle or ligament or something or misaligned something in your lower back, they'll fix it for you/tell you how to fix it.

Thank you for replying. I’m a bit awkward when it comes to engaging core, bending back etc. it was absolutely the gym instructors fault, she gave me a heavier weight, encouraging me to use it, wish I would have just said no!
i’m thinking physio might help, it’s just really painful, mainly when I move
