My 2 year old is a twitchy kid, twitches when he goes to sleep, if he’s in a light sleep, if he has a temp he’s more twitchy, nothing huge at all but it’s just how he is.

Lash night he got in from nursery and was in a terrible mood, he refused his tea then sat on his potty and started jerking his top half of his body, each instance lasted 1-3 seconds and he did it maybe 5 times in 10-15 minutes. We moved him and he’s not done it again since. He was completely conscious, unbothered and fine throughout the whole thing. We rang 111 who told us to go to a&e, I had videoed part of the episode and the dr just said it’s one of those things and he sent us home and said it may never happen again but watch him.

We got home at midnight and toddler had not slept and was super overtired, he fell asleep on me on the sofa and started doing his usual night twitches to the extreme. They settled after 15 minutes as they usually do but when they happening they were a lot more intense that usual. I’m not sure if this is due to him being massively overtired though.

Basically I’m a mess. I just can’t stop watching him this morning, I’m terrified it’s going to happen again and have no idea what to do. The episodes were so quick and slight that I feel like I could miss one by blinking. I don’t know what to do. I feel so helpless and sick from it all, I’m overanalysing movement he makes this morning.
