Anyone else have this horrible bug?

Teen ds came down with it first - really sore throat/soft palate, nausea and vomiting. Then I started with the sore throat, limbs felt like lead, nausea and felt very hot all night long. Then this morning had excruciating abdo pains, like wind but instead of coming in waves was just a permanent stabbing pain.
Never had a bug like it before so just wondering if it's a new thing doing the rounds?
Have done lateral flows and they're negative.

Keep doing lateral flows. I know a couple of people who had identical symptoms and negative results but both tested positive soon after

Dd has had this since Friday. Headache, aching limbs, fatigue, very high fever, sore throat and abdominal pain. Two negative covid tests Sunday and yesterday but will keep testing because sometimes it takes a while to show. If not covid is definitely something else nasty!

Sorry to hear your dd has been unwell too. DS is feeling loads better today but still struggling with the really sore throat even after painkillers.
Hope your dd gets over it soon!

Just getting over this after a week. Excruciating wind pain which came on after the nausea/vomiting/diarrhea passed. Also had migraine headaches, chills, and face flushing overnight, but no fever. All LFTs negative, but I really really wonder if it wasnt Covid because Day 5 was all about some scary mental stuff going on (vivid dreams, confusing names, some buzzing in ears).

Try getting some simethicone pills in for the wind pain and alternate ibuprofen/paracetemol for it as well. I was skeptical but it worked!

@CocktailNapkin Sorry to hear you've had it too - that sounds really rough.

I will have a look for simeticone, thank you.

Isn’t it omicron? It can include tummy pains.

ScrollingLeaves · 07/05/2022 20:22

Tummy pains are one of the new symptoms I think.

Possibly the new strain of Omicron? We all had covid only a couple of months ago so I'd assumed that had been Omicron.
